Of all the trips in Myanmar, I enjoy trekking and biking near Kalaw the most.

My trip to Burma was too short - I certainly want to go back and visit Inle Lake!

Myeik Liveaboard Cruise - 6 Days / 5 Nights

Myeik Liveaboard Cruise - 6 Days / 5 Nights - Overview
Kawthaung or Ranong - Kawthaung - Nyaung Wee Island (115 Island) - Ma Gyone Galet (Sea Gypsy) - Nga Mann Island

Isolated and unspoiled, the 800 islands of the Myeik Archipelago are the dramatic setting for this 6-day Liveaboard Cruise Myanmar. Off the southeastern coast of the country, just across the border from Thailand, you will set off on a multi-day cruise to rugged islands. Underwater this area promises scenic reefs and a multitude of marine life while above water you will have jungle-filled islands and pristine beaches to explore.

Your Myanmar tour begins in the seaside town of Kawthaung. Step onboard and cast off toward Nyaung Wee Island, your first stop, where you will have a chance to snorkel in these waters and explore by kayak. Surprisingly colorful and teeming with fish, the waters have suffered little damage from pollution or natural disasters often seen in neighboring Thailand.

After your first night onboard, a long tail boat transfers you to a jungle-filled island for a light trek again highlighting the natural beauty of the region. Return to the main boat and cruise to Ma Gyone Galet island for what is sure to be a highlight of the trip. The island is home to several villages inhabited by the Monken, or Sea Gypsies, whose nomadic seafaring way of life has changed little over centuries.

Over the next two days, the boat will continue winding its way through the chain of islands stopping for swimming, trekking, snorkeling and kayaking. Onboard you will be treated to delicious fresh-cooked meals and comfortable cabins with ensuite facilities and plenty of deck space from which you can enjoy the views.

Your last night at sea, a fabulous barbeque is served on the beach at Nga Mann Island. With the waves lapping at the shore and a bon fire blazing in the sand, there is no better way to cap off your marine Myanmar tour.

Finally, return to land after three days at sea. From here you can either transfer to the airport for a flight to Yangon, or cross overland into southern Thailand for further sea exploration around Phuket.

Join Exotissimo as we show you one of Asia's most incredible underwater paradises. Our Myeik Liveaboard Cruise is an unbeatable combination of relaxation, exploration and adventure for anyone seeking a southern Myanmar tour.
